Join the Stuart Community Concert Band on A Musical Trip Around the World
The Stuart Community Concert Band closes out its 2024-2025 season with “Beyond our Borders” featuring music from around the world including “Clarinet Polka,” “The Sound of Brazil,” “Four Scottish Dances” and “Carnival of Venice.”
The Band is under the direction of Jim LeBon and Keith Sanz who bring a wealth of musical knowledge to the group.
Jim LeBon is in the 10th year of leading the Stuart Community Concert Band. A Master’s graduate of FSU, Jim, before retiring in 2022, taught in middle and high school bands in Florida and Georgia for 40 years. Jim has his own publishing company and has published over 150 pieces of music. He plays baritone sax with the Ambassadors of Swing and clarinet and bass clarinet with the Treasure Coast Wind Ensemble.
Keith Sanz, Associate Conductor, has music education and conducting degrees from the University of South Florida and is the band director at John Carroll and St. Anastasia Catholic schools. Keith also taught high school band in Florida for over 20 years. He is a trumpet player, percussionist, composer/arranger, singer and background actor.
The concert will be held on May 18, 2025, at the Charles & Rae Kane Center at 2:00 p.m., 900 S.E. Salerno Road in Stuart.
